Well yes it’s Onion tea! No don’t roll your eyes or make faces 😏 , actually I did that when I had it at Dominican Republic ! I was in disbelief, then I did my research and find out it’s a known home-made remedy against colds/flu and boosting the immune system in Caribbean !

Help Control Blood Sugar. …

1 big onion Chopped into quarters (you can use any onion I used pearl onion 6 to 7 )
1 apple Chopped into quarters (I used green apple )
2-3 inches of ginger Chopped into small pieces or grated
1 tbsp of cinnamon or couple of cinnamon sticks
1 tsp of cloves Or 10 clove sticks
1 tbsp vanilla
1 tbsp Chamomile tea leafs
1 lemon or lime juice
Honey (optional since Apple is sweet I didn’t use any honey

Try it you will be pleasantly surprised

In a large pot add 6 cups of water. Then add everything except lemon juice
Put the tea in cheese cloth and dip into that
Set the heat to medium-low and let it boil slowly for 5 minutes.
Take out the tea
Let simmer for another 15-20 minutes (the longer, the better) until the apples are brown and sink to the bottom.

Turn off the gear and add lemon or lime juice taste it if you want add the honey and serve
